World Usability Day 2013 Tallinn Conference on 14th-15th of November
World Usability Day Tallinn conference 2013 is coming and this time the event is bigger than ever before! Over 200 people have already signed up, so hurry up and register! You can sign up on Eventbrite.
This time we have signed up a fantastic range speakers whose fields of expertise span across the entire range of disciplines under the UX umbrella. The program has been divided between two highly attractive topics which are UX as innovation enabler and eHealth - collaborating for better systems.
The first day of the event is dedicated to the conference which is free for everybody and on the second day of the event we will have workshops where a seperate registration will open up soon! The levels ranges from beginner to advanced so there is enough for everybody.
Speakers and presentation titles
Susan Weinschenk (to be confirmed) is the go-to person when you need insights on persuasion and motivation techniques. She holds a Ph.D. in Psychology and has over 30 years of experience as a behavioral psychologist. A UX superstar, she is the author of How to Get People To Do Stuff and Neuro Web Design: What Makes Them Click.

Gilbert Cockton is the professor of Design Theory in the Faculty of Arts, Design and Social Sciences at Northumbria University, where he is the Academic Head of Department for Media and Communication Design.
“Usability and User Experience as Effective Partners in Design”
Nigel Bevan is a leading expert on usability with over 15 years of experience in providing usability consultations to clients worldwide. He has contributed to many international usability standards.
“Planning user centred design to maximise benefits and reduce risks”
Raul Mill is the head of Estonian e-Health foundation. He will give an overview of the current state of the Estonian e-Health system and highlight its main usability problems.
“Does eHealth make life better?”
Hegle Sarapuu is a consultant and a teacher of user experience methods, accessibility and interaction design. She is one of the first UX specialists in Estonia and a co-founder of Trinidad Consulting.

David Lamas is the professor of interaction design at Tallinn University where he heads the university’s Interaction Design Laboratory as well as the international master program on HCI.

Edvin Aedma is a leading expert on gamification and game design here in Estonia. At WUD 2013 he will prove that gamification can be used in not only marketing and games, but also in health tech.
