What is Cloud Loyalty Discount?

To help ease the transition from Server or Data Center to Cloud, Atlassian is offering a multi-year cloud subscription discount when migrating to Cloud. 

You need to start a free Cloud Migration Trial to receive the Cloud Loyalty Discount. More information about starting a Cloud Migration Trial can be found in our previous blog post.  

Who's eligible?

• you are an existing Server or Data Center customer and your existing server licenses or Data Center subscriptions were purchased before 2.02.2021;
• you must migrate 1001+ users/agents to an annual subscription of Jira Software Cloud, Jira Service Management Cloud, Jira Core Cloud, Confluence Cloud, Insight - Asset Management, Team Calendars for Confluence, Questions for Confluence, or Training for Jira;
• you must utilize the free Cloud Migration Trial when you migrate to Cloud;
• you must purchase or renew your Cloud subscription based on the discount schedule below.

Eligible products:

• Jira Software Cloud
• Jira Service Management Cloud
• Jira Core Cloud
• Confluence Data Center
• Atlassian built apps - Asset Management, Team Calendars for Confluence, Questions for Confluence and Training for Jira.

Cloud Loyalty Discount schedule

The Cloud subscription discount you receive will be based on when you purchase or renew your Cloud subscription.

For annual Cloud subscription purchases dated before July 1, 2021:

Jira Software Cloud, Jira Service Desk Cloud, Jira Core Cloud, Confluence Cloud, and/or Atlassian-built apps: 55% discount from then-current published Atlassian list price.

For annual Cloud subscription purchases or renewals dated before July 1, 2022:

Jira Software Cloud, Jira Service Desk Cloud, Jira Core Cloud, Confluence Cloud, and/or Atlassian-built apps: 40% discount from then-current published Atlassian list price.

For annual Cloud subscription purchases or renewals dated before July 1, 2023:

Jira Software Cloud, Jira Service Desk Cloud, Jira Core Cloud, Confluence Cloud, and/or Atlassian-built apps: 20% discount from then-current published Atlassian list price.

Example

Company X purchases a Jira Software Server license (2000 user tier) and Confluence Server license (500 user tier) on January 1, 2010. It is now 2020, and they would like to migrate from Server to Cloud.

They purchase an annual Jira Software Cloud subscription (2000 user tier) and an annual Confluence Cloud subscription (500 user tier) on June 30, 2021.

• since they purchased their Cloud subscriptions before July 1, 2021 they are eligible for a 55% discount on Jira Software Cloud and no discount on Confluence Cloud since it is less than 1001 users;
• if they renew on June 30, 2022 for a second year, they are eligible for a 40% discount on Jira Software Cloud and no discount on Confluence Cloud since it is less than 1001 users;
• if they renew on June 30, 2023 for a third year, they are eligible for a 20% discount on Jira Software Cloud and no discount on Confluence Cloud since it is less than 1001 users.

If I upgrade editions or user tiers, what pricing should I expect? How will my future renewals be affected?

When you renew, add users to your subscription, or upgrade the edition of your Cloud product, the Cloud loyalty discount will apply based on the date the transaction occurs. The loyalty discount will be applied to the then-current published annual subscription price.

Example 

A customer purchases 2 years of Jira Software Cloud on October 1, 2020 through October 1, 2022 with a 55% discount. They decide to increase their user tier by 2000 users on January 1, 2022.

The list price of the additional users will be discounted by 40%. The renewal on November 1, 2022 would also be discounted at 20%.

What is Data Center Loyalty Discount?

Effective 2.02.2021, Atlassian will discontinue Server to Data Center upgrade credits and replace them with  Data Center loyalty discount. This discount helps existing Server customers transition to Data Center by offering them a multi-year discount on Data Center subscriptions. 

Who's eligible?

To qualify, your existing Server license must be purchased before 2.02.2021. The Data Center subscription discount you receive will be based on your Data Center user tier and when you purchase or renew your Data Center subscription.

Eligible products:

• Jira Software Data Center
• Jira Service Management Data Center
• Confluence Data Center
• Bitbucket Data Center
• Crowd Data Center

Data Center Loyalty Discount schedule

The Data Center subscription discount you receive will be based on when you purchase or renew your Data Center subscription. Please note, discounts may be subject to change.
 

For annual Data Center subscription purchases before July 1, 2021:

• Jira Software and Confluence (up to 1000 users): 25% discount from then-current published list price;
• Jira Software and Confluence (1001 users and above): 40% discount from then-current published list price;
• Jira Service Desk, Bitbucket, Crowd (all user tiers): 40% discount from then-current published list price.

For annual Data Center subscription purchases or renewals before July 1, 2022:

• Jira Software and Confluence (up to 1000 users): 15% discount from then-current published list price;
• Jira Software and Confluence (1001 users and above): 30% discount from then-current published list price;
• Jira Service Desk, Bitbucket, Crowd (all user tiers): 30% discount from then-current published list price.

For annual Data Center subscription purchases or renewals before July 1, 2023:

• Jira Software and Confluence (up to 1000 users)): no discount;
• Jira Software and Confluence (1001 users and above): 15% discount from then-current published list price;
• Jira Service Desk, Bitbucket, Crowd (all user tiers): 15% discount from then-current published list price.

Example

Company X purchases a Jira Software Server license (500 users) and a Confluence Server license (2000 users) on January 1, 2010. It is now 2021, and they would like to migrate from Server to Data Center.

They purchase a Jira Software Data Center subscription (500 users) and a Confluence Data Center subscription (2000 users) on June 30, 2021.

• Since they purchased their Data Center subscription before July 1, 2021 they are eligible for a 25% discount on Jira Software Data Center and a 40% discount on Confluence Data Center;
• If they renew on June 30, 2022 for a second year, they are eligible for a 15% discount on Jira Software and a 30% discount on Confluence Data Center;
• If they renew on June 30, 2023 for a third year, they are eligible for no discount on Jira Software Data Center and a 15% discount on Confluence Data Center.
